Supportive Care

Print

The UCLA Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center offers a full range of support services beyond clinical care. Patients have access to services that include psychological support, cancer prevention and education, palliative care for those facing severe or terminal illness, nutrition, spirituality, mind/body, and holistic approaches to healing and wellness.

Many of these services are provided by UCLA Health and the Simms/Mann-UCLA Center for Integrative Oncology (located on the UCLA campus), which is part of the Jonsson Cancer Center and designed to help patients and family members optimize their wellness and address the challenges throughout the continuum of cancer care. The links below will take you directly to their respective websites.

Mind, Body and Spiritual Care

People facing cancer have long recognized the importance of psychological counseling, self-expression and support. Simms/Mann Center provides a wealth of services, many free of charge, to patients and their families.

Pain Management and Palliative Care

Palliative Care provides an "extra layer of support" to patients and families facing severe or terminal illnesses such as cancer. UCLA Health offers multidisciplinary palliative care with our teams working together to manage your pain and cancer symptoms.
